    <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[The Worthington Historical Society (WHS) became a corporate entity on June 26, 1961 with its filing of Articles of Organization with the State of Massachusetts Department of Corporations and Taxation. Anecdotally, the WHS is known to have existing in the 1940&#039;s with Judge (Attorney) Stevens of Stevensville in Worthington playing an officer role. An annual report from 1954 indicates that the annual meeting was held on June 30 of that year at (now - 2024) 145 Old North Road, the home of Clarence A.G. Pease.]]></dcterms:abstract>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[South facade of Lester Champion house. Lester built this house from fieldstone found in the immediate vicinity in the late 1940&#039;s to 1950&#039;s. He lived there with wife Mary for many years until her death in the 1990&#039;s. Mr. Champion passed away in 2009. As of the end of 2009, the house was an uninhabitable ruin. This house is located about 1.3 KM E of the traffic light.<br />
In mid 2010, the place was under active renovation. By October, a green standing-seam metal roof had been installed on wood  truss-work set on 4 walls that had been brought up level.]]></dcterms:description>
