Herbert Berniss Thrasher (1884-1927) was the son of George M. and Hattie Lyman Thrasher. Guy Thrasher was his brother. This sample book was produced during the 1920s when H. B. Thrasher was living and working in Florida. The images are undated but are probably quite a bit earlier, ca. 1915 or so.

The store, originally the Brewster Store, was at the corner of Harvey Road and Huntington Road (Rte 112), in Worthington Center. The building, seen close up in enlargements is i some disrepair Closeups show the building in some disrepair, The gas provided was Socony (Standard Oil Company of New York). The sign on the wooden structure to the left reads: ;Horse-Shoeing, General Jobbing, Kinnebrook Road, Tel. 11-6, J R. Allen' Other signs are advertising for soap, chewing tobacco and cigarettes. The other card in the collection was hanging on Ralph Moran's wall until his death on November 21, 2007. It has been included in the reprinted second edition of Papers on the History of Worthington. The house, was a kit house, 1923 is on the fireplace. It was purchased by the town. After a decade of discussion and efforts to find new uses for the property, the building was demolished during the fall of 2018.]]>
