This house was old and in ramshackle condition, but lived in when the photograph was taken in the upper 19c. There are vines growing along the roof gables; the chimney, clapboards and front door are all in poor condition. There are gardening tools, obviously in current use outside the front door. The axles of a buggy that is obviously not in current use is in the garage section to the right. All windows glazing is intact.
This picture was taken in early June; fruit trees are in blossom; most deciduous trees are mostly foliated.
