Clarence and Florence Bates passed the house to their daughter, Cottrell, who sold to Robert Lawson, who sold to new owners (Racz) by 1999. At one point it was Ward&#039;s store, possibly a shoe factory? The &#039;L&#039; was changed in the 1970s. Was also a Bed and Breakfast for a while. The piano was in the front room and Clarence Bates would play for his guests. WHS has a recording of him playing the piano. See Box 46.]]></dcterms:description>
