Abstract
The Worthington Historical Society (WHS) became a corporate entity on June 26, 1961 with its filing of Articles of Organization with the State of Massachusetts Department of Corporations and Taxation. Anecdotally, the WHS is known to have existing in the 1940's with Judge (Attorney) Stevens of Stevensville in Worthington playing an officer role. An annual report from 1954 indicates that the annual meeting was held on June 30 of that year at (now - 2024) 145 Old North Road, the home of Clarence A.G. Pease.
