his brother. The sample book was produced during the 1920s when H. B. Thrasher was living and working in Florida. The images are undated but are probably quite a bit earlier, ca. 1910-1915 or so. <br />

The following is from the Moody book (1905), p. 52: &quot;The Castle place owned by Doctor Conwell. It was last occupied by Albert Stratton b. June 1, 1878. his mother, Sarah Stratton, b. in Vermont, Feb., 9, 1901, m. March 1861, came to this place November, 1901. Albert m. Florence Drake, June 1904. This place has been owned by Horace Cole, Jackson brothers, Eli Cady, Dwight Stanton, Mr. Castle, and Harvey Adams. Herbert Berniss Thrasher (1884-1927) was the son of George M. and Hattie Lyman Thrasher. Guy Thrasher was his brother. The sample book was produced during the 1920s when H. B. Thrasher was living and working in Florida. The images are undated but are probably quite a bit earlier, ca. 1910-1915 or so. <br />

Both postcards are identical and show house along Rte 112 looking south; the home, much changed, has been owned since September 1964 by the Schrade family.  At the time this picture was taken, the house was owned by Ella and Ephraim Anable.  The house was built around 1810.]]></dcterms:description>

The building, in serious disrepair, was demolished around 1903 and parts incorporated into the house next door (now 1 Huntington Road), built by the Creelman family (Harland Creelman and Josephine Rice Creelman, they called it Ashmore Lodge). The Worthington Library was built on this corner sit and dedicated in 1915. In addition, there is a forth copy of the postcard, from Marion Bartlett, which is framed.]]></dcterms:description>

Thrasher was the son of George M. and Hattie Lyman Thrasher. Guy Thrasher was his brother. The sample book was produced during the 1920s when H. B. Thrasher was living and working in Florida. The images are undated but are probably quite a bit earlier, ca. 1910 or so.  The WHS has several duplicates of this image.<br />

The lettering and the numbering are typical of the work of  Herbert Berniss Thrasher (1884-1927), who  was the son of George M. and Hattie Lyman Thrasher. Guy Thrasher was his brother. There are several Thrasher photos showing this subject.<br />

The Medical Center built a new building on Old North Road during the late 1950s.  In 2016 the old Lyceum Hall building housed Hillside Electronics. Two copies of this postcard exist.<br />
In the late 1960s, the organization changed its name to the Worthington Health Center; in the 1970s it was renamed  the Hilltown Community Health Centers. The “s” was dropped from the name in 2016.]]></dcterms:description>
