Small black hat (folded material with chin tie; marked Pittsfield - H. Spiegel - North Street; stitching is gone in back) seems to be made of silk. with grosgrain ties.

Black, ruffled parasol made of cotton; one seam is broken; handle is black and crooked; bottom piece (handle) is broken; tassle rotten and has fallen off.

Black (faded to brown), short cape, bordered at bottom and neck with brown lace 4" wide; back of cape is beaded with velvet bow at base of beading in back; label indicates Lord and Taylor, Grand Street, NY.

The accompanying note says "this bib was used by farmers when they went to Church and did not change their shirt collar. In fact, there are two bibs in this box and the other seems to be less fancy. They are both spotted and need conservation.

These slippers belonged to Caroline Graves Bartlett (1852-1925).
