Description

Titled "Drought-Ridden Hilltowns Hit by Too Much 'Precipitation'" Full page illustrated article describing snow event in Worthington in February 1958, includes man standing in snow arch in front of church looking towards Worthington Town Hall. Arch was created by Emerson J. Davis and his trusty shovel, the Gothic Arch is a duplicate of the one cut by him at the same spot in 1947 when another storm blew up deep drifts and the plows pushed up great banks and as before this was the only entrance to the First Congregational Church. Other images include snow in front of Mary Snooks house at the corner of 112 and Old Post Road at Worthington Four Corners; Ted Porter and his wife Shirley going for a walk, and a view down Sam Hill Road from the Worthington Cemetery
