The Tavern stood on site of current Worthington Library in Worthington Corners. It was where the Marquis de Lafayette stayed during his 1825 visit to Worthington, after which it was renamed "Lafayette House." Parts of the original building were incorporated into the Creelman/Epperly House, the building immediately to the south of the library.
