Description

Scan of snapshot of Worthington Corners, ca. 1912. Shows the Corners Store in the distance and the Rice home at #1 Old Post Road in the front. The store was built in 1859, the Rice home was built in the early 19th century by William Rice (1778-1863). The porches were probably added later. At the time of the photo it was occupied by William's granddaughters, Katharine McDowell Rice (1859-1923) and Susan Tracey Rice (1863-1937) and the Corners Store was being run by Edward (1868-1940) and Cora Bligh (1881-1973).
