At this date, this folder contains a variety of materials on Stevens, including typewritten articles on Lafayette Stevens, a reference genealogy on the family, copy of excerpt from handwritten letter by Walter Stevens on his family, letters pertinent to find relatives of Chas. B. Stevens, and other materials. Also a photocopy of a March 9, 1934 certificate signed by James S. Allen, Clerk of the District Court of the United States, and Frank H. Mason conferring on Walter L. Stevens a Referee in Bankruptcy in and for the counties of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire; also Elisha H. Brewster was United States District Judge. The original copy, pasted on board, containing the seal is located in Drawer #4 of the wooden cabinet and is assigned the number 2006a-333. Please also see Stevens collection (Box 39 and 39a).
