Deed, dated September 29, 1802, from John Watt [sic] to the 'inhabitants of the Town of Worthington, aforesaid, and to their successors in their said corporate capacity forever. . .a certain piece of land lying in said Worthington containing one acre, bounded as follows (viz) beginning at a cherry tree standing on the south side of a Town road, then running easterly on the south line of said road fourteen rods to a stake and stones -- then westerly fourteen rods to a stake and stones, the northerly eleven rods and nine feet to the first mentioned corner.' Signed by John Watt. No witnesses. He is identified as a yeoman and received ten dollars in compensation.
