Description

This lap desk belonged to Jacob Bartlett, father of Nettie Bartlett, who married Edwin Pease, they were the parents of Kenneth Pease, Sr.. Jacob Bartlett owned the Jacob Bartlett Hotel which was later named the Worthington Inn. The desk contains pictures of the Worthington Inn at that time -- also a picture of Charles Brewster, a Republic Candidate for County Commissioner in Hampden County, two items of the Crosby-Hawley wedding and the obituaries of Isaac Thrasher and Nellie Bartlett Pease dated 1902.
