Newspaper article by Lisa Freiman in Daily Hampshire Gazette (?), fifth story in a series on Hampshire county crimes. Worthington: there were no recorded crimes in 1800s and early 1900s. Helen Magargal and Lois Ashe Brown both comment on lack of crime today. Reverend Josiah Spaulding (1794) was described by James C. Rice in 1854 as being charged with immorality and deliquency of duty and was dismissed after tremendous town controversy. The charges were never sustained.
