Description

Multiple copies of a black and white lithographic photograph postcard of 'The Old Lafayette House, Worthington Corners, Mass.' This was also called Pierce or Pearce Tavern. The building, in serious disrepair, was demolished around 1903 and parts incorporated into the house next door (now 1 Huntington Road), built by the Creelman family (Harland Creelman and Josephine Rice Creelman, they called it Ashmore Lodge). The Worthington Library was built on this corner sit and dedicated in 1915. In addition, there is a forth copy of the postcard, from Marion Bartlett, which is framed.
