On front: 'Congregational Church, Worthington, Mass.' Black and white photographic postcard of the First Congregational Church painted white. Snow is visible on the ground and the trees are bare.
The number 24C6 is in bottom left corner. Rear: The Townview Card Company, Portland, Maine.' The church was painted white from approximately from 1955 to 1995. It was a reddish brown (wine color) until then (see 2006-076). A note with the photo, however reads: these post cards were sold at the Corners Grocery when Merwin Packard
was the proprietor in the 1930's ... Archer Fitzgerald 2/22/04. The stained glass windows, appearing to the right represent some old families in town. My great Grandfather, Chauncey Day Pease is the first one in the extreme right.' There is a similar postcard showing a winter view
